Photo taken from the bridge over the Kalamazoo River in the Albion College Nature Center. The photo is touched up quite a bit but I like the way it looks--for some reason it looks to me like an old-fashioned painting.

Day 183
Out of focus flowers in our front yard. I have trouble sometimes shooting photos without my glasses, especially when using our second lens.

Saying goodbye to Amy as she rode off to school for the first day of classes, I noticed this path in the dew running through the vacant lot across the street from us. What I don't understand is what caused it. It's not footprints; it's too wide for a bicycle. Curious...

Day 178
Meat and vegetarian feast at Altu's Ethiopian Restaurant, in East Lansing, MI. To be honest, we'd already started eating before I remembered that I wanted to have the meal as my photo of the day. In addition, I took the picture with my phone, so the meal looks much less appetizing than it did for real, and was delicious (and filling).

I was trying to be all artsy and photograph an early important album for me, with my reflection in it. Didn't work at all and I just binned the record.

Diabetes diagnosis means regular exercise is a requirement--the driving range and the occasional nine holes will be part of that regime.

The legendary banjo picker Earl Scruggs, on stage with his band the the Meijer Garden's amphitheatre, Grand Rapids, MI. Earl's playing was actually pretty limited, but it was still great to see the man live.

Day 157
Manifest evidence that I need to learn how to change the focus on our camera. I took about half a dozen pictures of Amy at the beach in Marblehead, OH, and she's out of focus in every one. The stupid camera kept focusing on the yellow casing of a guy-wire connected to a telephone pole (which I cropped out). But Amy's so gorgeous even blurry she's beautiful!
