Day 103
This building has always fascinated me. It's a mile or so out of town in Albion, MI. The sign reads, and I quote:
"if you!
BELive iN
life AfTER
DEATH
TRESPASSING"
Something about all the errors in the sign makes me not want to mess with this guy!
Day 101
Boots off, after Amy and I took the dogs on a seven-mile hike in the Malabar Farm State Park, southwest of Mansfield, Ohio. Knowing in advance that we were going to cross twenty yards of stream in shin-deep water might have helped but hey, the dogs loved it!
Day 100!
As you know, if you've been reading this photo blog, I'm fascinated by abandoned buildings (there are, as of a few years ago, 14,000 abandoned buildings in Detroit!). But instead of south-central Michigan, this one is in my in-laws home town of Mansfield, Ohio. Just a little Norman Bates, don't you think?
DAY 99
My in-laws are crazy about this place. The first time we had takeout from there, I wasn't sure what to make of it: the pizza was great, but the sub (bologna, cheese, another kind of meat, sauce) didn't overwhelm me. But now, a couple of years later, I'm hooked! If you're ever in Mansfield, Ohio, head to the Leaning Tower for a large sub and a medium pizza--bacon, mushrooms, and green peppers. You can thank me later.
