Day 36
Garden outside the pool in the parking lot of the Little America Hotel, Salt Lake City, UT, 1:00pm.
Coming back from a quite good Indian buffet lunch, I saw these shoots and knowing we had a long day of travel ahead, tried to make something of them since the chances for photographs would be rare. As I got up and turned around to head to our room, the engineer who had tried to fix our room safe (unsuccessfully) said, "We must have some pretty interesting weeds." I explained the camera, Amy's jewelry business, and the project 365," and the guy said, "Oh, so you've got the XSI?" I said yes and he explained, "I've got the XS and I'm having a lot of fun with it." Amateur photographers are everywhere!

Day 26
Abandoned (?) dairy farm, Marion Road, Mansfield, OH, 1:45pm.
So, it's Day 26 in this Project 365 adventure. It's also Friday the thirteenth. Amy wanted to go to the abandoned dairy farm where I took photographs yesterday, so we stopped there on our way back from lunch. As she took some shots, I wandered around some of the back buildings, peering in windows. Kneeling down and shading my eyes to look into one structure, I was suddenly spooked as a black cat leapt onto the windowsill directly in front of me on the other side of the window. Although I'm not prone to triskaidekaphobia, it gave me pause. (Ha!) When Amy was finished, the cat was still eying me, so I took some shots of the two of us having a stare down.
